In a move likely to give a boost to the industrialisation in the state, the newly appointed Punjab's Industry and Technical Education Minister Madan Mohan Mittal announced that the new industry policy of the state will be notified soon.
"There were few issues which are resolved now and very soon the policy would be notified, which will act as a catalyst to the growth of the state," said Mittal in an interaction with Business Standard. It is worth mentioning that the new industrial policy was launched in June this year, but due to some issues the notification was delayed.
"Since the state government would organise a two-day "progressive Punjab global investment summit" on December nine and 10 at Mohali with a view to showcase the investment opportunities available in Punjab in various sectors especially in IT and Electronics,it is now important to notify the policy" said a senior official of the industry department.
