Punjab supplies surplus power to Maharashtra

The Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) has started supplying daily surplus power of 100 to 200 Mw to Maharashtra, which is facing power shortage.
 
"Since the demand for power in the state was becoming greater than the supply, the Power Trading Corporation requested us to supply surplus power to Maharashtra and accordingly since last Saturday, we have been supplying power to the state on a daily basis," H M Jain, a board member said.
