Taking potshots at AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi for praising Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa, BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley has said it was a "blunder" on part of the Congress leader to do so.

"It is a blunder on part of young Gandhi to praise Nitish Kumar and Jayalalithaa, for his overtures have been cold-shouldered by the parties he was trying to reach. On the other hand, UPA partners got upset and is seeing it with suspicion," Jaitley told reporters here yesterday.

"The Congress, it seems is panic...It is unsure of returning to power. So the party is spreading rumours about Left and on other occasions about JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar and former Andhra chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu coming with them," he said.

BJP would form government at the centre with the help of some new friendly parties, he claimed.

"There are some parties who are against Congress and since the Third Front is unstable they have no option but to join NDA," he said refusing to divulge their names.
