Railtel Corporation of India Ltd, the broadband venture of the Railways would most likely not be able to generate Rs 750 crore for the ministry which has been projected in the budget, a senior official said Tuesday.
Briefing reporters on a parliamentary consultative committee meeting on Railtel, Railway board member (Electrical) N K Chidambaram hinted that the project, which has already got delayed, would fail to generate any substantial revenues for the Railways in the current financial year.
