Railways to launch more 'Palaces on Wheels'

Indian Railways, buoyed by the spectacular success of high-end luxury train Palace on wheels, is all set to launch several such trains in various parts of the country.

"We are geared up for the launch of the two luxury trains (one each in Rajasthan and Karnataka circuits) by April, 2007," Viplav Kumar, director of catering and tourism in Indian Railways, said today.

While the second luxury train in Rajasthan would cater to the growing demand from tourists on the same route, the 'Palace on Wheels' in Karnataka would cover Mysore, Rangnathittu, many places in and around Bangalore, Belur, Halebeed, Hampi, Shravanbengola, Badami, Aihole, Mahakoota, aamong others.
