The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a rainfall of more than 25 centimetres (cm) on the Goa-Konkan coast. |

Under its influence, widespread rains were experienced in Andhra Pradesh, south Orissa, south Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha. With the likely west-northwestwards movement of the system, the enhanced rainfall belt will shift to rest Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, south Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and southeast Rajasthan from 23 to 26 June. |
"Isolated extremely heavy rain of more than 25 cm are likely over coastal Karnataka, rest of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Goa and Gujarat from the 23 to 26 June," said Majumdar. |
