The Rajasthan government is planning to open business centres in select cities across the country. The first such centre is likely to be opened in Delhi. This was disclosed by the state minister for industries, Chandrabhan, while reviewing the working of the Delhi offices of the Rajasthan Finance Corporation, RIICO and Rajasthan Small Scale Industries Ltd.
Chandrabhan discussed the proposal with the principal resident commissioner of Rajasthan in Delhi, JP Singh. Chandrabhan said the main objective of the business centres was to provide information on various departments like RIICO, RFC, BIP, RUDA and Rajasthan Small Scale Industries Ltd.
The move, Chandrabhan said, was expected to promote investment in the state. He said Delhi had being chosen for the first such business centre because of its proximity to big industrial centres of Rajasthan, like Bhiwadi and Neemrana.

Chandrabhan said experts considered Rajasthan to be an excellent tourist destination. He maintained that the tourism industry in the state offered great prospects. Besides, industries based on minerals, stones, gems and jewellery and handicrafts also had good prospects.
