With substantial declines in the investment and growth rates, the Rajasthan economy seems to be in the grip of a crisis.
The net state domestic product growth declined to 2.4 per cent during 1997-98 to 2001-02 from 11.3 per cent during 1993-1994 to 1997-98. There has been a continiuos decline in the primary, secondary and tertiary sector growth rates during the five years ended March 2002.
