Come February, Rajkot is set to host an international ayurveda conference 'Raj Ayu Con 2013' organised by Ayurveda Mission.
The conference aims to provide a platform for eminent researchers, academicians, physicians, traditional medical practitioners, manufacturers and exporters of herbal products, members from the corporate sector, marketing consultants and NGOs from all over the world.
With participation from about eight countries, the 'Raj Ayu Con 2013' is scheduled on 23 and 24 February 2013 to propagate ayurveda and complementary systems of medicines all over the world.
As part of the delegation, several doctors, students, researchers from Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Sri Lanka and United State are likely to participate in the two-day conference.
"The main objectives of this conference are to propagate and promote the basic principles to the medical world in the impressive and understanding way. It is also being held in order to popularise and develop ayurveda and to create confidence of ayurvedic treatment in the younger generation as well as all peoples of the world," said Dhirendra Joshi, president of Mission ayurveda, Rajkot.
The global conference is being organised in collaboration with Gujarat Ayurveda University Jamnagar, International Academy of Ayurveda Pune, Indo-European Academy of Integrated Health Sciences, Germany, Gujarat Ayurveda Medical Association (GAMA) Gujarat National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA), and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
