Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ramn Singh
had welcomed the Union Rail Budget 2016-17 and termed it as a step forward for the welfare of the people and growth in the country.
“By keeping the interest of passengers protected, Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu had given priority for the infrastructure development in the budget that was in the interest of the people,” Singh said.
The provision for rail infrastructure development had been doubled in the rail budget 2016-17 that would be a big leap forward for the expansion of rail network, he added.
Singh said the rail minister had announced not to increase the passenger and freight fare that had been widely appreciated in different corners. He added that the focus on skill development underlined in the rail budget would also be helpless for the youths.
