In a move that could encourage private sector participation, the government has increased the rates of several treatments under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana between 20 and 400 per cent.
 
Rates of around 400 procedures have been revised including cancer treatment and one new additional medical management package related to black fungus has been added.
 
This revised health benefit package is expected to be rolled out from November this year, the health ministry said. Private hospitals had raised concerns with the health ministry on the rates of treatment under the scheme, saying they were not viable
