The Raipur Development Authority (RDA) will build more than 1,300 flats for the middle income group (MIG) customers on the outskirts of the state capital. The board of directors of RDA approved the proposal to build 1,344 flats at an affordable price.
A place near Boriyakhurd at the outskirts of the state capital had been identified for the project. The housing scheme has been designed eyeing the middle class families, Chief Executive Officer of RDA Amit Katariya said. The Authority has recently completed a project of 3,888 flats build for the poor people.
Sources said that the RDA would soon start the process to take up the new housing project. The price of flats had not been worked out, but it would be less than Rs 10 lakh, Katariya said. The flats will be built on 627 square feet area. The board also approved a proposal to computerise the property details of the RDA. Katariya said special software would be developed to feed all the information related to property including project details, payment and dues.
