The Suratgarh and Kota super thermal power stations of the Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUN) have achieved record power generation. |
The stations recorded over a 90 per cent plant load factor (PLF) for 2005-06. It is the highest achievement by the two units ever since the units were commissioned. |
NS Chaudhary, managing director of the RVUN, said the Suratgarh station, which had a plant load of 90.88 per cent, had generated 9951 million units of electricity. |
Similarly the Kota thermal power station also generated 8294 million units of power in the year 2005 -06 at 90.6 percent power load against the production of 7431 million units of power in the year 2004-05. |
He said that credit of the achievement also goes to the hard work of the various engineers and employees with these two units of Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam He informed that the total power production through various power stations owned by RVUN has showed an increase of 1461 million units of which is 8.38 percent more than the previous year's production. |
He said that in the year 2004-05 RVUN accounted production of 17431 million units which has gone up to 18,892 million units in the year 2005-06. |
