Soft drink manufacturers such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo will have to work with the ministry of water resources to replenish the groundwater they use to produce the branded beverages, P R Dasmunsi, Union minister for water resources, said at a meet on 'rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge'. The meet was organised jointly by commerce chambers, Ficci and Bharat Chamber of Commerce.

The ministry would seek corporate participation for preserving and re-charging of the groundwater resources, said Dasmunsi.
