| Rel Power gets LoI for Krishnapatnam UMPP |

| Reliance Power was today awarded the letter-of-intent (LoI) for the 4,000 MW Krishnapatnam ultra mega power project (UMPP) in Andhra Pradesh, which it had won by bidding to supply power at Rs 2.33 per unit. The price quoted by Reliance Power for the imported coal based project was much lower than the other two bids received, from Larsen &Toubro (which bid Rs 2.68 per unit) and Sterlite (which bid Rs 4.18 per unit). This is the second ultra mega power project of 4,000 MW for Reliance Power |
