Rice to canvass for India

According to US Ambassador to India David Mulford, Rice's campaign would be part of the "coordinated" efforts between the two countries to mobilise support for the waiver, which is mandatory to make the Indo-US civil nuclear deal operational.

Mulford said Rice had already spoken to China on the waiver and "we expect a positive response from them (China) in the NSG".
