Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former finance minister Yashwant Sinha has charged the principal opposition party was trying to “auction” Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from BJP in Jharkhand to support an non-resident India (NRI) businessman Anshuman Mishra for a Rajya Sabha seat. During the hurriedly called parliamentary party meeting in the morning, Sinha raised the issue and questioned why BJP didn’t field its own candidate and instead decided to give outside support to Mishra who doesn’t even belong to the state.
