Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said the government would try to introduce a road safety Bill in the coming Parliament session.
"Road safety Bill is a concurrent subject and need state governments' cooperation. There are lobbies and vested interests that are coming in the way of a road safety Bill. The Bill is aimed at making the system time-bound, transparent and corruption-free. We have discussed issues with state governments and very soon will introduce it in the Cabinet and next to the Parliament," Gadkari said on the sidelines of a World Economic Forum event.
