Rs 100-crore Vivekananda project gets nod

The National Implementation Committee has given its in principle approval for Rs 100-crore Swami Vivekananda Values Education Project. The committee, chaired by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, was formed in July to commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The project will include inculcation of Swami Vivekanada’s values in schools and colleges all over the country, publication of his work in different languages, and international programmes including conferences, seminars and lectures in overseas universities.
