Rs 36 crore for AP urban schemes

 The union urban development and poverty alleviation minister, B Dattatreya, said AP was the eleventh state which had entered into an MoU. Detailed talks were held with the state minister for urban development and municipal administration, B V Mohan Reddy, Dattatreya said.

 The union minister said the centre would also release about Rs 65 crore within a week to Andhra Pradesh under various urban development schemes.

 The central minister also said that the centre was considering a proposal to raise the urban reform incentive fund to Rs 1000 crore from the present Rs 500 crore. A national slum development policy was being formulated to get ratified in the next parliament session, he said.
