Rs 64 cr rural power project for Subhash

Under the scheme as much as 90 per cent of the project cost would be funded by REC and the rest at 10 per cent would be doled in by West Bengal State Electricity Board.
 
The project will cover 807 virgin villages in the district of East Midnapore, where electrification work would be undertaken.
 
The project was estimated to cost Rs 64 crore.
 
The first phase was scheduled to be completed by March 2006.
 
The second phase of the project would be completed by March 2007.
 
The project would entail setting up of 11KV Line with all accessories along with cables covering a distance of 1,800 km .
 
Another 415V line with all accessories would cover 1,087 km, and 1,066 three phase distribution transformers.
