Christined Rural Olympics, it is the first-of-its-kind event aimed at providing a springboard for the rural youth to prove their dormant capabilities, FFA claimed in a release.
FFA proposes to conduct Rural Olympics across 10 districts covering about 2,000 villages in 80 mandals from December 6 to January 25.
To be conducted at four levels-- village, mandal, district and state-- the events will be held for both males and females aged over 17 years. FFA proposes to create a mela type atmosphere at the district and state levels to heighten the experience for the spectators and participants.
It plans to set up stalls at the venue to provide entertainment, shopping and food, besides cultural events. Hero Cycles, Nutrine, Indian Oil and Mahyco are sponsoring Rural Olympics.
