Sandalwood Cultivation Faces Hostile Environment

First the good news. Sandalwood prices may drop. The bad news? It may take another few years before prices head south.

Sandalwood trees grow largely in the dry, deciduous forests of the Deccan Plateau; nearly 80 per cent is grown in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
