Under attack over her varied wardrobe, Sarah Palin is sorting through her luggage, which the defeated US vice-presidential candidate intends to return.
The high-end clothing became a controversy during the US presidential campaign that is still haunting the defeated candidate. According to the Anchorage Daily News, Palin and her aids are going through her luggage, sorting through what belongs to Palin and what does not.
Meg Stapleton, her spokesman, said the Alaskan governor was coming under unfair attack from a “firing squad” of anonymous John McCain staffers in a frenzy of finger-pointing.
Stapleton said another question is what’s going to happen with the “boxes and boxes and boxes” of gifts either given to Palin or a family member on the campaign trail, or shipped to her in Alaska. She said the gifts have to be valued to see what Palin is allowed to keep, and what she has to disclose. “I think we’re in the inventory stage,” she said.
Palin spoke out against anonymously sourced stories critical of her behaviour on the campaign trail, saying “it's immature, it’s unprofessional and those guys are jerks.”
“It’s just very, very disappointing.....And look what we’re talking about again — we’re talking about my shoes and belts and skirts. This is ridiculous,” Palin told reporters.

The claims include that Palin went on shopping sprees on the Republican Party’s dime, didn’t know Africa is a continent and threw tantrums that left staff in tears. Palin supporters said it’s just people trying to scapegoat the governor for the unsuccessful presidential campaign.
“I won’t comment on anybody’s gossip, or allegations that are based on anonymous sources,” Palin was quoted as saying by Anchorage Daily News.
