The PriceWaterhouse-Sebi case will come up for the next hearing tomorrow before the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT), a company official said.
The case relates to the multi-crore rupees accounting scam in Satyam Computer whose founder B Ramalinga Raju is accused of cooking up the company books for years together. PriceWaterhouse was the auditor to the IT major. The scandal came to the fore in 2008.
Market regulator the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had slapped a showcause notice on the auditor.
The matter came up before SAT last week and hearing continued today.
Sebi had turned down appeals made by PriceWaterhouse to hold back its investigation till the probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the Satyam scandal got over.
A senior advocate representing PwC declined to comment on the proceedings today on the ground that the matter is sub-judice.
