The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has clarified that the ban on the three broking firms, Indiabulls, Anagram and Karvy, is applicable only to own account (proprietary) trading by them.

Clients of these brokerages, who have demat (trading) accounts with them, will be free to trade as usual, the clarification added.

Gagan Banga of Indiabulls was called to the Sebi office this morning, according to a flash on NDTV Profit.
