Life in Mumbai seems to be limping back to normalcy after a day filled with strident protests, rail rokos, road blocks and bandh calls by Shiv Sainiks. Sainiks have been protesting the defilement of a statue of Sena supremo Babasaheb Thackeray's wife Late Meenatai Thackeray,by miscreants in Shivaji Park, central Mumbai, this morning.

According to reports, flights to and from Mumbai have also been regularised, following talks involving the Mumbai Kamgar Sena and the airport authorities.

The Shiv Sena controlled Kamgar Sena had earlier in the day gone on a protest stopping work after reports of desecration of Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray's late wife's bust in Shivaji Park, Dadar.

Suburban train services were largely unaffected during the day.
