Seven 'detained' with explosive materials

Seven persons have been detained for interrogation in connection with an alleged seizure of some explosive substances in the city, police sources said today.

According to sources, based on a clue given by a person late last night, police rounded up six persons and reportedly recovered certain material used for making explosives. The person who gave the information has also been detained for questioning.

The six men were reportedly carrying some papers, which allegedly contained markings related to some important installations, the sources said.

Senior police officials were tightlipped on the issue.
