The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI), has organised Vyapar - 2005, an exhibition of trade and services, at Surat, from February 11 to 15. |
Giving details at a press meet, chamber president Dinesh Mandalaywala, said, "In the coming years, trade will be equally important as industry, and anyway an industry cannot succeed without trade. It is with the aim of readying the traders, that we are organising the Vyapar-2005. The State Trade Commissioner will be the sponsors." |
"The exhibition would be spread in an area of 35,000 sq. ft, and will comprise ten domes. Consumer durables, electrical and electronic appliances, building and construction material, textile accessories, automobiles, and various other items would be on display at the exhibition," he said. |
"Bank of Baroda, BSNL, Dhru Motors, GEB, Gujarat Gas Company, Jeevraj Tea, Kribhco, LG, Reliance Infocomm, Samsung Electronics, Surat Peoples Co-operative Bank, Tata Indicomm, Western Railway, Yamaha Motors, have confirmed participation in the exhibition," he added. |
The exhibition would be inaugurated by Union textile minister Shankarsinh Vaghela. Various seminars, including those on Salient Provisions of Income Tax Act, International Trade Opportunities in Current Scenario, BPO Phenomenon: Realities and Opportunities in South Gujarat, Modern Weaving and Technical Textiles, Energy Management, and Retail Trade - 2005, would also be held as part of the event. |
