Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today met his predecessor and Finance Minister P Chidambaram at the latter’s North Block office here.
During the 20-minute meeting it is understood that they discussed various issues concerning the ministry. Yesterday’s Pune blasts are believed to have figured during the talks. “We have taken it very seriously,” Shinde said after a high-level meeting which reviewed the security situation in the country in the wake of the explosions.
Shinde took charge of the home ministry yesterday, while Chidambaram moved to the finance ministry following a minor Cabinet reshuffle.
