Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal advised management institutions to design courses in such a way so that the graduates could find solutions to problems they encounter in Indian conditions.

Calling for a change in management education the minister said the existing curriculum revolved around those solutions suited to the Western world. Any management training should focus on finding solutions to the Indian problems and should also be useful to other Asian countries as the country entered the stage of exporting education to other countries, Sibal said.

The minister inaugurated the Hyderabad campus of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, here on Saturday. Union Minister for Urban Development Kamal Nath, who is the chairman of IMT, and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy were also present on the occasion.
