Singapore Festival in Hyd from April 8

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is holding a two-day unique Singapore consumer extravaganza, 'Uniquely Singapore Festival', to attract more traffic from the state in 2006. The festival, to showcase facets of Singapore to AP travellers, will be held at Prasad's Imax on April 8-9, 2006.

The festival will showcase performances by Singapore's Artistix dance troupe and traditional Chinese doll- maker and entertainer, Pamela Wildheart, besides a host of games and contests.

STB will also organise a travel networking function on April 10 to enable travel agents to network and get updated on the new product offerings and future development plans for Singapore's tourism sector.

Visitor arrivals from Hyderabad to Singapore registered a year-on-year growth of 50 per cent in 2005, according to a press release.
