Snap diplomatic ties: Rajnath

BJP President Rajnath Singh today demanded snapping of diplomatic ties with Pakistan to send a strong message to Islamabad that unless Pakistan stopped the use of its soil for terrorist activities against India, normal relations between the two countries could not be maintained.

He was speaking to mediapersons after inaugurating the three-day workshop of ministers from BJP ruled states on 'good governance' here.

He further said, "Though it has been established that Pakistan-based terrorist outfits carried out the bomb blasts in Mumbai with the help of ISI, how can Prime Minister Manmohan Singh say that a composite dialogue process with Pakistan will continue."

"Why the UPA government can't think of even a simple measure like barring the use of Indian airspace for Pakistani civilian aircraft as a means of giving a strong message to Pakistan," Singh questioned.

Singh also said "We will oppose the UPA government's minority appeasement policy strongly both inside and outside parliament and we will expose the conspiracy of the UPA government in denying reservations to scheduled casts, scheduled tribes and other backward classes in minority-run educational institutions."
