Spinal injury centre in Mohali to start in April

The Regional Spinal Injuries Centre (RSIC) in Mohali, with an investment of Rs 3 crore, will be operational in April, according to Punjab Social Security and Women & Child Development Minister Gurkanwal Kaur.
 
Initially the centre will have a 10-bed capacity, with an addition of 30 beds in the second phase of it expansion which will take place in the financial year 2006-07. In Chandigarh Kaur, said that the centre will provide medical facilities to patients of beneficiary states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pardesh, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh.
 
She further added that Rs 230.42 lakh has been approved by the meeting of governing body of RSIC for medical equipments and machinery.
