The court has forwarded the report to Maharashtra chief minister Sushilkumar Shinde for taking suitable action by November 27 when the next hearing is scheduled.
According to well-placed official sources, the interim report (since the 100 hours of taped conversations between prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi and police officials and some politicians from Maharashtra is yet to be transcribed) if a five paged document that blames Sharma for lapses of omission and commission on nine counts.
His was a supervisory role as Pune police commissioner when the crime branch officials of Pune were investigating the fake stamp paper cases detected by them.
The officials added that action against Sharma as well as a few more top notch police officials (once named by the SIT)was imminent.
