The annual Plan size of Orissa for 2010-11 has been fixed at Rs 11,000 crore, which is 15.78 per cent higher than the state's annual Plan outlay of Rs 9500 crore for the last fiscal.
The Plan size of Rs 11,000 crore for Orissa was arrived at following discussions held today in New Delhi between Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, state chief minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior officials of the state finance department.
Focus to be on sectors like irrigation, infrastructure including power and road communications education, agriculture and allied acztivities, health and poverty alleviation.
