State To Infuse Rs 152 Crore More In 19 Sugar Coops

The Maharashtra government has cleared a proposal to infuse an additional Rs 152 crore in 19 co-operative sugar factories (CSFs) having a sugarcane crushing capacity of 2,500 metric tonne. This is in addition to the Rs 760 crore sanctioned under the Ninth Plan following the stipulation of Rs 40 crore normative cost per factory. The government now proposes to infuse an additional Rs 8 crore in each of the 19 factories.
