Fin-tech startup ClearTax launched its latest offline software to help businesses create Goods and Services Tax (GST) bills in an easy and simple manner without internet.

The ClearTax GST Offline is a free and easy-to-use billing software that will be of great use to those who are still on the lookout for a GST Software or have yet to make the transition from manual billing to a digital system.

The utility is smaller than 0.5 MB, which makes it easy to download, transfer and share. CAs, tax professionals, and business owners can distribute this software to their clients and peers: via email, external storage drives or any other mode. Lakhs of SMEs in smaller Indian towns — where accessibility is an issue — can also use this tool to create invoices without using the internet.

"We already have billing software called the ClearTax GST BillBook, which works online. We have launched this offline tool to help those users who are not always linked to the internet," said Archit Gupta, CEO of ClearTax.

Once the invoices are generated using ClearTax GST Offline, filing returns on ClearTax GST Software is highly simplified. The invoices can be easily uploaded on one-click to the online filing platform. The user has to review the final invoices, and then with just a few clicks, all data can be submitted to the GSTN for all three monthly returns (GSTR-1, 2 and 3).
