Supplementary estimates demand worth Rs 3,296 cr tabled in K'taka

The estimates includes Rs 23 lakh sanctioned for purchase of a car for Siddaramaiah's office use during his Delhi visits

The state government on Wednesday tabled demand for supplementary estimates amounting to Rs 3,296 crore in the Legislative Council. The estimates includes Rs 23 lakh sanctioned for purchase of a car for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s office use during his visits to Delhi.

It also includes sanction of additional grants of Rs 65 lakh for purchase of 10 vehicles to the office of Karnataka Lokayukta and Rs 16.44 lakh for purchase of vehicles for the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Lokayukta. Besides, the estimates covers Rs 36 lakh for renovation of building given for the office of the SIT.

An additional sum of Rs 2.50 crore has been provided for integrated development works of Bannerghatta Biological Park and Rs 50 crore sanctioned for installation of barricades using the used railway lines to prevent human-elephant conflict.
