Availability of gas for automobiles is likely to be affected in Bangalore on Monday as auto LPG dealers have decided to launch a 'No purchase' campaign demanding security to their outlets and calibration of LPG dispensing unit. |
The day-long campaign, during which the outlets will not procure LPG from companies, will be held under the banner of the Bangalore Petroleum Dealers' Association. |
"We want to protest against the attacks on LPG dispensing outlets by customers who allege cheating while filling gas. Employees of the outlets are manhandled and property is destroyed in such attacks," association office-bearers maintained. |
Recently, a group of auto drivers staged a demonstration at an outlet on St Mark's road alleging they were being cheated. |
