Tahliwal industrial zone gets 132-Kv substation

The upcoming Tahliwal industrial area of Una district in Himachal Pradesh now has a 132-Kv substation to feed industrial and adjoining areas.

This substation has been built at a cost of Rs 32.80 crore. It came into operation over the weekend.The substation will supply uninterrupted power supply to the area.

Inaugurating the sub-station, State Chief Minister P K Dhumal said the government was trying to carry out planned sectorwise development of industrial areas in the region to consolidate industrial activities.

He said almost a Rs 49 crore project has been forwarded for funding to the Centre to channelise Bathu-Bathru on inter-state borders. The Swan river channeling would now touch Rs 390 crore and save valuable crops of the local farmers.
