The Telangana joint action committee has called for a Telangana bandh tomorrow in support of the demand for separate statehood and to protest the arrest of its leaders and supporters on the first day of the rail roko programme yesterday.
The committee’s convener, Kodandaram, after holding discussions with Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, said: “The government is acting inhumanely and is booking false cases against its own party leaders. The Sakala Janula Samme will be intensified. The rail roko agitation will continue for three days.”
A section of auto unions operating in Telangana has also called for a one-day auto bandh from midnight today.
