Telangana ministers meet Congress leaders

The Congress Ministers from Telangana in Andhra Pradesh today said they will not take back their resignation until the party high command sets a time frame for the formation of separate Telangana state.

"We won't take back our resignation till the High Command acts within a time frame for the formation of a separate statement of Telangana and clarify doubts over the second statement of Home Minister P Chidambaram made last week," said  AP Civil Supplies Minister J Krishna Rao after a meeting with Union Minister and Andhra Pradesh Congress incharage M Veerappa Moily and senior leader Ahmed Patel.

He said the ministers have put before the party leaders their views on the issue and have been given a patient hearing.

Rao said the ministers also gave details of the agitation in the Telangana region and the government has to clear the people's doubts in this regard.

"We are hopeful that the high command and party Presidency Sonia Gandhi will understand the sentiments of the people," he said.

Earlier in the day, the ministers met Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy, who also hails from Telangana, and discussed with the latest situation.
