Terrorists planned 20 more strikes in Delhi: Police

The Indian Mujahideen was planning to strike the national capital in a big way by exploding at least 20 bombs in several parts of the city, including prominent commercial complex of Nehru Place, police said today. The disclosure came after the arrest of three more suspected militants, allegedly involved in the serial blasts in the city and other parts of the country, from Jamia Nagar early this morning.

Nehru Place, a prominent commercial hub of the capital known for shops selling computer components, was one of the main targets of the Indian Mujahideen besides other localities which were not disclosed by police.

 

“Their main aim was to target crowded places and to result in heavy casualty.
