Terrorists storm Ayodhya temple, four killed

Five terrorists, suspected to belong to the Lashkar-e-Toiba, today attempted to storm the makeshift Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya in which four of them were killed and one captured in the encounter with the police.

Home minister Shivraj Patil briefed the union cabinet on the terrorist attack in Ayodhya today.

The cabinet meeting was presided by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The cabinet committee on security also met later to review the situation, official sources said.
