NCP leader Sharad Pawar today expressed doubts about CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat's assessment that Third Front would have good numbers and the Congress may have to provide outside support to it in forming the next government.

He maintained that the Third Front would not not have "sufficient" numbers to form the government.

Pawar, who has been maintaining that the UPA will have to do business with the Left in the post-poll scenario, told NDTV in an interview  that "I have my doubt.  I respect his (Karat's) assessment.  I have my doubt.  I don't subscribe to his assessment."

The NCP leader said that "I don't think the numbers will be there (for the Third Front). An important factor in the Third Front will be Left and Mayawati.

"This is important.  I don't think they (Third Front) will be able to cross 65 to 70. 65 to 70 is not not sufficient to form the government."
