Tata Steel has chalked out plans of floating a new company, Jamshedpur Utility and Services Company Limited (JUSCO) for running the support services rendered by the company, in and around the steel city.
Addressing a news conference, B Muthuraman, managing director, Tata Steel, said that, henceforth the steel company would concentrate on its core businesses, while the new company would provide the services that Tata Steel has been providing, so far.
The move to form the new company was the first step towards outsourcing services. Muthuraman explained,
