TN to get 100Mw more from KNPP

Tamil Nadu will get the unallocated 100 Mw power from the date of commercial operation of unit-I of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP), in addition to 925-Mw already allocated on the firm basis to it from KNPP.

Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, V Narayansamy, in reply to a written question in the Rajya Sabha said as per existing guidelines for allocation of power, the entire power (2x1000 Mw), to be generated from KNPP has already been allocated on February 5, 2004, amongst the beneficiary states/union territory.
