Training for SMEs in exports

Representatives from district chambers of commerce and industry spread over Karnataka will take part in a two-day programme on 'increasing exporting to European Union (EU) countries' in Mysore from July 23.
 
With an aim to give fillip to exports to the EU countries and to educate the existing and potential small and medium enterprises from the State, the Mysore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has organized the training programme, in association with the FKCCI, Bangalore.
 
The training programme is under the EU-India business associations' cross-cultural network for business and trade promotion project. The programme provides information on EU economy, market research, export readiness, marketing strategies, quality standards for successful exports to EU.
 
The district chamber representatives are drawn from Hassan, Udupi, Tumkur, Madikeri, Mandya, Shimoga, Hospet and South Kanara (Mangalore), apart from the host chamber, Mysore.
 
Such programmes have already been conducted at Bangalore and Hubli and programmes are planned at Chennai and Madurai in August and September, respectively, says MCCI,Secretary, A S Satish.
