The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the International Road Federation (IRF) find the social networking site twitter.com an innovative medium to bring down road fatalities.
MoRH and IRF, the global body for promoting and advocating safe road developments, jointly plan to focus on community consultations and use of modern social networking websites including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to reduce road accidents by 50 per cent by 2012, IRF said in a statement.
